"MERCY" KILLING TO SOLVE AGE IMBALANCE?

In a statement issued today a spokesman for ALERT said:

"Lord Falconer's welcome on 24th June for the Law Commission's proposals to change the homicide law should sound alarm bells for the elderly and frail.

"So-called 'mercy' killing could become a lesser offence than murder.

"This is one way to deal with the 'graying' of Britain, but we believe it is not a good one."
