March 21st 2002 "I WANT TO HEAR WITH MY OWN EARS"Judgment will be given in Court 38 at the High Court at 10 a.m. on Friday 22nd March in the case of "Miss B", who is asking doctors to turn off the ventilator that is keeping her alive. Andy Berry, who lives with disability, will be in court to hear the judgment. He says: "I want to hear with my own ears what safeguards they will put in place to ensure that no-one's ventilator is ever switched off against their will." POSTSCRIPTAndy said after the judgment, which will allow doctors to kill "Miss B": "I heard nothing to lessen my fears and I was gobsmacked to hear of the instant decision by the Health Authority not to appeal."
